#7 - February 2018
2018 is here and Auto Conduct is back in the swing of things. A few months off helped us get a bit more organized and ready to bring on all new experiences for the new show season.
We felt it was appropriate to pay homage to the site that helped us start it all – Alana’s Coffee Roasters in Mar Vista, California. This time, we’d change things up a bit. Bring a Food Truck, add a few surprises and see how many people we could pack into one of our favorite venues.
You, our fans and supporters, did not disappoint. You came out swinging harder than we could have ever imagined. This month’s theme was “Cars you gotta love”. Meaning, no matter how funky, unique or rare, the diverse field of feature cars helped set the tone for our first show in 2018.
Tommy Kendall brought out El Gallo, a truly remarkable use of fiberglass and an Oldsmobile Ninety Eight. Our friend Rallyata brought out his extremely well-crafted baja inspired Mazda MX-5. CMS Motorsports ventured to our gathering with their latest 80s icon, a Renault Fuego Turbo. Marc Makismow blipped the throttle a few times as he arrived in his Peugeot 205 GTI (a car we are fan boys of). Last but not least, we had a true icon amongst the forgotten heroes of automotive culture, a Plymouth Prowler from our new friend Brian Holt.
